Dear friends, not all Christmas decorations have to be red, gold and green; especially if you are like me, someone who loves the ocean. Oh and yes, indeed, I also have some of the traditional colors at home. However, this year I also wanted to create a niche or place to be reminded of my favorite place. Try it if you like it, so easy to make. This will be my last Holiday Decorations Post for 2016, SMILE! Materials Needed and Approximate Cost ($5.62) 2 – 6” grapevine wreath @ .50 ea. ($1.00) 1 –10” grapevine wreath ($1.47) Spray paint ($1.00) 2 gold picks ($1.00) 3 starfish ($1.15) 1 large pine cone (Free) Glue gun or crazy glue To assembly, please follow my slide show presentation for ideas.

When you go the buy your fresh Christmas tree, ask the vendor’s for some of his discarded branches. They usually cut them off the trees to make them prettier, they do not want them, so lucky us! Take them home, cut the bottom and put them in a bucket of water. You will only need a flower vase or any container of your choice, even a coffee cup, I used a water pitcher. Fill the container with water and then add the branches in any given order until the arrangement looks full. Your next step is simple. Just poke scattered decorative holiday picks, here and there. See my slide show for ideas and I am sure that you will have ideas of your own. Let’s be creative, smile! Materials Needed and Approximate Cost ($6.00) 6 Christmas picks at your local craft store, Dollar store or Walmart. ($5 to $6) A Flower container of your choice from your home (Free) Pine tree branches (Free) Enjoy your creation and MERRY CHRISTMAS! |
