This is the last time that we may have to enjoy these beauties. The December month is running faster than ever and before we know it, year 2022 will be here, with the beautiful snow and the good fortune that we are all expecting:

And the creativity of my neighbors continue to entertain anyone who walks by their homes. Thanks for the show!
I get so entertained daily as I walk by these beauties around my (and other) neighborhoods. The holidays are the time and season to be creative and festive. It is not only the time to make a lot of delicious dishes. It is a great time to try to get something done for your home or friends, so that you get to feel the happiness of creating something with your hands. It is an awesome experience; I challenge you to do it. Enjoy the process, smile. I get so entertained daily as I walk by these beauties around my (and other) neighborhoods. Let the Holiday Spirit Touch us all by finding ways to transform our beautiful homes and make them even more beautiful with Holiday Decorations.
This arrangement came out of my combine idea of recycling old things and using nature to our advantage. By walking all over, I collected pine cones of all kind, brought them home, baked them at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes to remove any pest that found their home inside. Then I went to my craft room and found this wooded basket that I had purchase at a yard sale this summer for $1.00. Furthermore, I found some leftover picks that I had left from prior projects and decided to use them. The cost of all these picks together is about $5.00. Finally, I assembled the basket adding some paper tissue in the bottom to use less pinecones. I added the pinecones on one side, the holiday picks on the opposite side, placed the basket in a disposable red cardboard that I found at Costco and filled the front with more pinecones. DONE! If you want to make one, just follow my slide presentation, use whatever holiday picks that you may have at home or purchase some at Walmart for few dollars. The rest is just to walk outside and get pinecones, pine tree branches, holly tree branches or anything that catch your attention and start crafting. It is so good for your soul! |
