This is what I call giving objects a new life. Is so easy to trash old stuff and purchase new ones. We are loading our land fields weekly with stuff that other people may need or could use and also, some stuff that can be fixed or transform into something else. The other day I walked by a home and saw by the trash bins 6 perfect dining chairs. They should have been donated to any charity. So this is the story. A year ago, I purchase a bench exactly like this brown one in a yard sale for $2, just because I saw a potential. I did not do a makeover at the moment since I didn’t have the time, therefore, decided to postpone it. Just recently, I decided to stop procrastinating and work on that makeover with my husband’s help. We detached the back heart shape board and purchase a new one at Lowe’s. I also opted to buy a bright paint color to make the bench pop and while I was doing that, I decided to also paint some of my hanging basket and flower pots to match the bench. Well, one thing led to another and before I became aware, I realized that I forgot to take a photo of the ugly bench that I purchased and document the whole makeover process with additional photos, darn it! Oh well! Now I have to decide about decorative pillows but so far, I don’t like any of the ones I have. Translation, I need a trip to Ikea, Target or Pier 1 to find something to match this color. Smile.
