Palms; they are by far my favorite trees in the whole wide world. It’s so ironic, when I was growing up in Puerto Rico, an Island in the Caribbean, I took palms for granted. Not only that, as a child, it never occurred to me that there are so many different kinds of palms, since to me they all looked the same. As I became a teen and young adult, I realized that the beauty and strength of these trees is unparalleled; they can withstand the worst of the hurricanes and if substantially affected, they can come back again.
