SPRING HACK # 1: CLEAN:
Yes, Spring began last week, Yippee. That means excitement to get the gardening started for 2019. Is all good. If we want to enjoy the beauty of gardening and harvest amazing produce, we need to work a little to see amazing results this summer and fall.

The best thing to do during Spring time is to enjoy the weather, walk through our gardens and welcome the little creatures; birds, squirrels, and turtles (no snakes please).

However, sometimes, Winter months take a toll on our back yards and the cleaning turn into fence and  walkways repairs, and plant material that didn’t survive the Winter season. Realities we all have to deal with in order to keep our properties looking beautiful.

Regardless of how much you cleaned-up your gardens last fall to winterize for the cold months, you will still find all kinds of debris left by wind and storms. Therefore, remove all branches, leaves, pine cones, etc., that collected through the winter, place in recycle bags. Also, empty your planting hanging baskets and clay pots, clean them well and add new soil to get them ready for planting flowers as soon as the weather warms up more.

But let’s go back to the positive side, Spring is the time that we rush to dress up our homes’ landscapes, even when no plants or flowers are up yet. So, don't fret and follow my  6 hacks to get this whole season started.
