I was doing my daily walks and about 10 minutes from my home I saw 2 white flower box planters, 33” long, on top of the recycle bin. I didn’t think much of it until I got close to them and noticed that the planters were in total perfect condition, not even scratched, however, they were all covered with mud.
So, I tried to keep walking but my brain said, go back to that home, get the 2 planters and try to bring them back to life. I always hate to see stuff that can be recycled/repaired/repurposed going to our land fields. Well, I went back, got them, brought them home and seriously wash/ scrubbed them cleaned with all my strength. Then went to Home Depot and purchase paint spray, painted them, filled them with soil and placed some plants in there. Out of curiosity, I checked how much these babies sell in stores. Checked in macy’s.com and they sell one 2” longer for $25.11 wow, I saved myself $50.22 by rescuing these guys. Now, by looking at the final job, who said they were rescued because they were about to be trashed for good? UPDATE: BELIEBVE IT OR NOT, THE NEXT DAY I WENT TO MY DECK TO ENJOY THE PLANTER AND SQUIRREL(S) HAD TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN, ALL PLANTS AND SOIL SPREAD ALL OVER THE DECK. OH WELL, I HAD TO REPLANT IT AGAIN.
