IS IT CREATIVE PEOPLE ON THE ROAD or OVERCOMING CHALLENGES?

Priceless! Some time ago I was driving on I-95 south. I saw a van with an actual full-size home air conditioner unit attached. My question is where do they plug it? Smile.

I don’t know about you but I have seen my share or “creative” survival skills on the road. I was lucky this time to capture it in a photo, contrary to other times when I couldn’t, like:

The time that I saw a Toyota car converted into pick-up truck, cut in half to keep both front seats. Then the owner used treated wood to build a platform with rails and all. Genius!

Another time, I saw a pretty small pick-up truck with probably hundreds of mulch bags, perhaps looking 4 to 5 feet above the driver’s cabin level. The tires were about to burst, the truck was inches from the road to a point that if there was a bump on the road, the mini-truck would have gotten stuck for good. Then he drove under an overpass, my heart dropped, it almost touched the bridge. Fearless!

These scenarios reminded me of a quote by Clint Eastwood in his Heartbreak Ridge movie; “You have to Improvise, Adapt and Overcome”. I have never forgotten it for whatever reason, smile and it is so true.

Regardless of how unconventional these situations look like, what comes to mind is the fact that these folks, even if they did not watch the move, did exactly what Clint said to overcome their challenges and move forward in life. Love it!
