What an honor I had to capture these Blues, Rock and Soul legends to enjoy and to share with you, especially during Black History Month. Recently I went on a cruise. As some of you know, I walk daily to stay in shape. The second day, right after I walked all the outdoor and main activities decks, I decided to continue to walk the remaining stateroom decks to extend my workout. I went all the way down to deck #1, and suddenly, I noticed a number of posters hanging on the walls. Soon I realized the historic value of what I was seeing. Therefore, while fellow cruisers decided to do a zillion unimportant fun things, I decided instead to capture the images with my IPhone. The hallways were packed with photographs of Billie Holliday, Count Basie, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, even an 11-year old Michael Jackson, well, too many to mention. Fortunately, some of these legends are still with us today; Liza Minelli, Diana Ross, Mick Jagger, and many more. Needless to say, my walk for that day stopped. The collection that I had in front of me was beyond special. I had to absorb these legends now, thank them for their musical talents and the years of joy they gave to the world. I hope that you remember these faces, enjoy my post and thank them as well.
