During most of my travels, I enjoy watching the magic of bridges. Two of my favorites are The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and The Sunshine Skyway in St. Pete, Florida.
I love to watch the shapes, the designs, the colors, some of the daring positions or challenging heights and treacherous locations. Thank God for engineers who had the capacity and knowledge to design and built these magnificent structures. The primary function of bridges is to connect us, from one place to another, from one state to another, from one town to another, and so on… I believe that we take Bridges for granted, since they are simply there. However, without them we would have been limited to probably stay in one location. The next time that you travel anywhere, please, take a special look at these structures and never ever take them for granted. While you do that, enjoy the view and be thankful to those who built them and those who lost their lives doing it.
