Sarasota is without mistake the “in” place of the Suncoast region with its richness of arts, cultural, and fun activities for everyone. Sarasota is located just 45 minutes south of Tampa. If you like white sand beaches, then you will love Siesta Key Beach, located in one of the many Sarasota Keys. Siesta Beach was named America’s Best Beach by Dr. Stephen Leatherman, of Florida International University some years back. However, recently, Siesta was named #1 Beach in the country. National Geographic magazine named it one of the world’s top three beaches sometime in the 1950’s. Therefore, it is not new that this beach is simply proven fantastic. Siesta Beach's white sand is 99 percent pure quartz. Where you can walk barefoot for a long time, under full sun and 100 degree temperatures without feeling the heat or the pain. It is one the whitest sands in the world.
Finally, after you enjoy a fun day at the beach and you are ready to leave, you can even walk to Siesta Village for a stroll to visit its restaurants, gift, and ice cream shops. Maybe if your vacation allows you to stay longer, you will plan to visit other keys and beaches in the area, or downtown Sarasota, located at walking distance from the Marina. Perhaps, you should plan to vacation in that paradise at some point in time in your life. These are some of my photos of the beach, the village and other areas of Sarasota to convince you to go.
