DECORATING IDEAS SERIES – THE HOLIDAYS

Yes, this is the time to “Embellish” our homes inside and out. Who doesn’t like the smell of fresh pine trees indoors, or the lights and decorations throughout our homes? I don’t know about you but for me, this is the most festive time of the year. After all, I got married in New Year’s Eve. How’s that for fun? Smile.
As I did for Thanksgiving, I will develop a series of decorating montage’s for the season, that are “Budget and User Friendly, and homemade by yours truly”. Again, let me remind you; this is not a time to spend a fortune. Instead, use what you have in your homes now and focus your energy and time enjoying the company of family and friends.
So, let’s get started! These are the materials that you will need to do this project.

1. One container of any kind that have been sitting somewhere in your home idle.

1. Purchase a can of gold spray paint and paint it (outdoors, please)
2. Walk around your back yard and pick some pine cones, evergreen branches and medium size leaves. Paint them in gold as well.
3. Go to the craft store or Walmart and purchase floral or berries picks. They are usually cheap at this time, under $2. And you only need a few.
4. Put these materials in your container, nothing is glued or attached to anything and trust me, don’t be afraid if this is your first time. If you like it that is enough for me.
5. Now, put it on display and don’t forget to show off to your friend about how much you spent making it. They will be jealous.
