Can you believe that the total cost of this baby was $1.50?

So, my daughter was about to trash her empty roasted peppers jar. I saw some sort of potential to perhaps re-purpose it; therefore, I told her I wanted it.

I came home and left it alone for about a week. (I needed some inspiration time people!!!!)
One day I went to my craft room, gather few materials and came up with this nautical piece. By using similar materials you can turn any jar into whatever you want. I hope that you also get inspire and turn trash items into your treasures, smile.

Materials that I used:
Container (FREE)
1 yard of ribbon (1/2 per container) $1.50
2 Starfish to glue in the front (.75)
Glue gun (.25??)
Cord for the jar neck (.50)

HACK: You can fill them with shells, sand, candies or even elbow macaroni; however, you can also leave them empty. If you want, you can paint the lid in another color for a more vibrant look.
