 As parents of identical DEAF twins and a hearing son, you can imagine that my husband and I did not miss one show of Dancing with the Stars. We always taught our children that they could do anything they wanted in life if they were committed and work hard at it. Thank God they did. Nyle DiMarco is a good example of what happens when you are determined and work hard. Nyle has become the only deaf individual to win the well-known Dancing with the Stars contest. Today my husband texted the following to our daughters and I want to share it with you. "I have to say that I deeply admire Nyle’s tremendous courage, focus and genuine determination. He is living proof that you can do and achieve anything you want as long as you don't impose barriers upon yourself. Becoming America's top model and also champion of dancing with the stars are no easy tasks for anyone. But the remarkable thing about his courage and determination is that he disregarded and ignored what others would consider barriers and focused on winning. He has made history as a courageous guy and is now set for life. He will be in the history books! Love it!”
