Winters are always so long and I get frustrated when I can’t start my summer garden because of it. Gardening is such a fulfilling and enjoyable hobby. I must add rewarding, because it rewards you with fresh produce to eat, flowers that makes you happy and also deter pests, like Marigold’s flowers.
I started some seedlings in January. So far my peppers have sprouted nicely and are onto their second set of leaves. I have not started jalapeno and tomatoes from seeds yet and I will probably do it this week. These are some of my gardening pointers that I want to share with you.
Hope that this post encourages you to start your own seedlings at home and enjoy them!

This is the last time that we may have to enjoy these beauties. The December month is running faster than ever and before we know it, year 2022 will be here, with the beautiful snow and the good fortune that we are all expecting:
Health, Happiness and tons of Love! And the creativity of my neighbors continue to entertain anyone who walks by their homes. Thanks for the show!
I get so entertained daily as I walk by these beauties around my (and other) neighborhoods. The holidays are the time and season to be creative and festive. It is not only the time to make a lot of delicious dishes. It is a great time to try to get something done for your home or friends, so that you get to feel the happiness of creating something with your hands. It is an awesome experience; I challenge you to do it. Enjoy the process, smile. I get so entertained daily as I walk by these beauties around my (and other) neighborhoods. Let the Holiday Spirit Touch us all by finding ways to transform our beautiful homes and make them even more beautiful with Holiday Decorations.
This arrangement came out of my combine idea of recycling old things and using nature to our advantage. By walking all over, I collected pine cones of all kind, brought them home, baked them at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes to remove any pest that found their home inside. Then I went to my craft room and found this wooded basket that I had purchase at a yard sale this summer for $1.00. Furthermore, I found some leftover picks that I had left from prior projects and decided to use them. The cost of all these picks together is about $5.00. Finally, I assembled the basket adding some paper tissue in the bottom to use less pinecones. I added the pinecones on one side, the holiday picks on the opposite side, placed the basket in a disposable red cardboard that I found at Costco and filled the front with more pinecones. DONE! If you want to make one, just follow my slide presentation, use whatever holiday picks that you may have at home or purchase some at Walmart for few dollars. The rest is just to walk outside and get pinecones, pine tree branches, holly tree branches or anything that catch your attention and start crafting. It is so good for your soul! Absolutely, if we don’t live in warmer states, then an overnight frost may come by soon and will kill all these beauties. They will be gone until next year. That’s the reason why when I see them, I capture them in my phone to enjoy them when the whole place is covered with snow, smile. THANKS NEIGHBORS FOR THESE BEAUTIES.
It’s simply amazing to look and enjoy all these beautiful wreaths that neighbors disply on their front doors. The Holiday Season is stepped up another notch when you walk by these housed and admire the variety of art on display.
Perhaps some are DIY by them and some are purchased. The bottom line is that I am yet to find one that I do not like. Thanks Neighbors and keep it up. Again, these beauties are here to enjoy for a very narrow window. Why, because they are only on display for Thanksgiving and once the month of November is over, they will be gone until next year.
However, we must not fret, because once they remove these pieces or art, I am sure and I am expecting that they will replace them with the Christmas Wreaths and for that, I can’t wait. Again, I must say that every year I feel blessed to live in a community where neighbors care not only for each other but they also care to keep their properties well decorated for everyone to enjoy.
This stuff takes time and money to get it done. Let alone the artistic side that we all have to bring out to display these beauties. I decided to share with you so you can enjoy these festive decorations as well. |
